Tons of memories, and tons of stuff hauled
The truck hauled its last load on June 3rd, 2008: a trailer to pull behind a bicycle to carry two kids. The trailer wouldn't fit in Penny's car, so she took the truck. Fittingly, this was also the truck's last journey. I drove it the day before to work and back, and that was my last journey in it. A few weeks prior, I had volunteered with a group to repair the neighborhood park and used the truck to haul dozens of landscaping timbers.
On June 28, 2008, I signed the title and handed the keys to Doug, our neighborhood mailman. He had been interested it it and had spoken to many of the neighbors on the street about the truck's history. Farewell!
